Abstrak

This study aims to describe the application of the Discovery Learning models assisted by Rotating BoardMedia to the theme of Beautiful Diversity in My Country to improve students' creativity and teaching skills of fourth grade at SD 01 Pladen. Discovery Learning models is learning that involves students who are active in learning activitiesthrough asking questions about a more critical problem and finding the answers. Media Turning board is a wheel-shaped media that can be rotated and divided into several sectrs / parts that there is question card and creativity is a person’s ability to crate something new. Material in the theme “The beauty of diversity in my country” in the Indonesian and social studies content of this research is material on the diversity of ethnicity, nation, language, religion and culture in Indonesian and nonficition texts. This classroom action research was conducted of IV grade at SD 01 Kudus Pladen with 34 research subjects. This study completed by two cycles, each cycle consisting of four sides, such as planning, observing and reflecting. The results of research data on teaching skills of teachers in managing learning in the first cycle were analyzed to obtained a percentage of 74.41% in the sufficient category and in the second cycle increased to 81.55% in the good category. The creativity ability of students in cycle 1 of Indonesia language content and IPS show that there was an increase in cycle 1 , a value of 62.94 for Indonesian subjects with 14 students completed while in the IPS load score of 83.76 25 students completed in cycle 2 experienced improvement by getting a value of 75.94 in Indonesian subjects 29 students completed as many as students while IPS subjects received a value of 79.76 with 30 students included in the complete a category. Based on the results of classroom action researcash conducted of the IV grade at SD 01 Pladen, it can be concluded that the use of discovery learning models can improve students' creativity, and be able to improve teacher teaching skills in learning diversity in 7ththemes in my country of Indonesian and Social Studies content assisted by rotating board media in IV grade students of SD 01 Pladen.
